RHINOMED’S MUTE AND TURBINE TECHNOLOGY RECEIVE REGULATORY CLEARANCE FOR CANADIAN DISTRIBUTION

Australian medical technology company Rhinomed Ltd (ASX:RNO) today announced it has received its Medical Device Establishment Licence (MDEL) from Health Canada for the distribution of Turbine sports breathing technology and Mute snoring and sleep technology as Class I medical devices in the Canadian market.

 

This regulatory licence enables Rhinomed to import and sell both products into Canada and importantly, continue dialogue with distributors seeking to distribute the Mute and Turbine in the region.

 

The company will seek to distribute the Turbine through the Canadian cycling, triathlon and sporting store outlets and major sporting retailers. Distribution of the Mute product is planned to be through pharmacies. According to the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities as of January 1, 2015 there were 9,558 community pharmacies and 285 In patient hospital pharmacies in Canada.
